Introduction

Elite Software Automation (ESA) is a boutique consulting firm that transforms successful, fast-growing businesses into dominant market players through comprehensive operational optimization.

How Our Organization Works

Our goal with every single project we undertake is improving the actual day-to-day operation of our client's business, and doing so quickly.

To achieve that, we operate with a rigorous methodology that considers things holistically and accomplishes excellence in both business processes and technology/systems, without mixing up important business decisions with technical details and deliverables.

First, process decisions are made based on what is good for the business. This is a thorough process involving both a comprehensive investigation of current day-to-day operations and conceptual design of new business processes engineered to make operations better.

Then a separate set of technical experts work with you to create innovative technical solutions that fit those business needs and requirements.

Clear delineation of expertise is enforced and utilized: business experts don't make technical decisions by themselves and technical experts don't make business decisions by themselves, but both are accountable to work proactively together, raising and resolving questions or issues until the solutions actually achieve the expected results in our clients' organizations.

Our Process

Everything starts with investigating our clients' business situation, business goals, profitability issues, and their perception of challenges and blockers. The goal is to interpret and actually understand what the real business issues and their root causes are.

We go very deep in understanding exactly what happens in our clients' day-to-day operations, not only what they think happens there. We investigate records, system logs, numbers, documents, details of processes, and other hard evidence of operations. We interview our clients' staff and other individuals involved in specific business processes. All this is done so we can get an accurate picture of what really happens and understand all the various details and nuances. This ensures we correctly identify problems and their underlying root causes.

Specific business process solutions are then conceptualized, tailored to solve the root causes. These solutions aim to eliminate inefficiencies and drive achievement of the business's objectives.

They incorporate process organization, waste elimination, process enforcement, manual work automation, quality improvement, conversion efficiency improvement, customer experience improvement, proactive customer retention measures, performance management, and/or anything else the business needs to change to overcome its challenges and achieve its objectives.

These business process solutions are then prioritized based on their necessity and business impact.

The priority solutions are worked out in detail and are themselves modeled, simulated, and analyzed to ensure they will not only solve the actual problem, but will also benefit the objectives of the business overall.

Once the business solution details are decided, we set requirements for the software and system solutions that will enable these solutions to come to life.

Our highly experienced technical design experts work with the business process team to strategize and implement technical solutions in a way that allows future flexibility, further iterative improvements, and the ability to accommodate changing business needs for long-term use.

The recent innovations in artificial intelligence allow us to automate processes with exceptionally high power, significantly beyond what was ever possible with conventional custom automation, and by creating custom AI agent constructions with custom-made handlers and oversight layers, we're able to achieve precision and control that not only brings high degree of automation to processes that are too complex for conventional automation, but also achieve the same level of reliability that conventional automation allows.

Rolling out a new process, system, and/or automation into a fast-paced business needs to be carefully planned and carried out to avoid chaos, mistakes, breakdowns of process or any other negative impact on our clients' ability to deliver their own services. We ensure that everyone inside and outside of their organization is trained and onboarded to the new processes and systems seamlessly, that any data is migrated and up to date as needed, and that the entire solution and team hits the ground running on the go live. This entire change-management service is provided by us in a hand-held white-glove manner.

Once any new process and systems solution is in use, we don't stop there. We capture granular data at every step of the business operation and proactively monitor and measure the performance of these operations and make regular refinements and sophistication improvements to enhance the efficiency, quality of operations, scalability, and profitability of our clients' businesses. Role of Business Process Analyst in ESA

In this job, you will be ultimately responsible for creating the results for our clients' business operations. You will be responsible for the client's business processes and continuous improvements to their day-to-day business operations.

When you get a new client, it will be your responsibility to thoroughly investigate the client's day-to-day operations and reconstruct the client's current business processes. You will examine all their current systems, data, records, documents, communication logs, and other artifacts of their business. You will interview all their key staff, managers, and other individuals. You will conduct other investigation as appropriate. And you will ultimately reconstruct in detail the client's current as-is business processes, capturing all appropriate process scenarios, structure, and other inner workings of the business processes.

You will then use your business process expertise to improve the client's business processes in a way that will enable a more profitable, efficient, and scalable business. You will craft individualized custom solutions and not be boxed in to any cookie-cutter solutions. You will actually work from root principles to find sub-optimalities and issues in current business processes and then re-engineer the business processes of the client and define the exact desired processes that will need to be implemented to achieve the results goals, and it will be your responsibility to ensure that the desired processes you engineer will actually be able to successfully work in our client's day-to-day business operations.

You will then work with our technical team to get a systems solution conceptualized and implemented in a way that will actually implement, enforce, and automate the desired to-be processes in the client's business. While it is the technical team who is responsible for the technical side of the engagement, you will work with them to ensure that the design meets the business needs and enables implementation of the desired business processes. It is your responsibility to ensure that as the systems are built and made ready for implementation, that they meet the needs of implementing the desired processes you defined and will work for the client's day-to-day business.

You will then lead the implementation of these processes and systems into the client's actual business operations, and make them the client's new day-to-day reality. You will discover issues during implementation, you will discover the need to refine your improvements, and you will need to follow through on those needs. Ultimately, the actual end-to-end day-to-day resulting operations in the client's business are your responsibility and you will need to work to make sure these processes and systems powering them are refined to achieve the desired results. As our clients evolve their businesses you will need to continue to evolve their processes and systems to power their growth, efficiency, and profitability as time goes on.

This is an extremely rigorous and thorough job. A very methodical approach is required to execute it. There is a lot of complicated decision making and responsibility in this job, and while there is a lot of independence offered in the job, there also is a great expectation of responsibility and you will be held to account for results on a frequent and regular basis. This job requires 100% full-time focus and 100% full-time effort. It is impossible to execute this job while doing other things on the side. Expectations

This position requires the following skills and experience:

  1. Practical commercial experience of successful business process re-engineering, business process automation, business process optimization, and other forms of business process improvement.
  2. Intricate and in-depth knowledge in the subject of business process re-engineering. You must have experience and skill in in-depth current business process reconstruction, identification of intricate ways that business processes can be re-engineered for improvement, development of improved business processes, and practical implementation of improved business processes. It is expected that you must have rigorous theoretical knowledge of the core principles of this subject and be able to come up with custom-to-the-situation solutions as opposed to recycling off-the-shelf cookie-cutter case studies.
  3. Analytical skills to discern confusing information, separate reality from perception, and process large amounts of information while maintaining rigorous analysis.
  4. Ability to conceptualize and simulate business processes in a way that allows you to find business process inefficiencies and refine the theoretical business process so that it will be efficient and produce results.
  5. Ability to create effective logical rules that will be able to govern business processes and systems, and direct business jobs or automations to be executed correctly.
  6. Practical business "common sense" that allows you to evaluate your own and others' business improvement proposals critically and contrast it with the realities of practical business execution to eliminate impractical elements and make your business solutions reality-proof.
  7. Strong planning, prioritization, and organizing skills to manage complex projects through multiple stages of delivery successfully on time, without giving up on important deliverables, and without wasting resources.
  8. Effective communication skills to formulate and communicate your thoughts to the client and inside the team, along with excellent verbal and written English language ability.
  9. Ability to effectively perform in a high-pressure environment, solve difficult problems, manage expectations and priorities, deliver impeccable service and flawless execution on a consistent and continued basis even in the face of difficult and complicated situations.

All of that is surface-level credential collecting that has nothing to do with actual capability.

First-principles thinking. Can you reason from fundamentals rather than applying templates? When you encounter a broken process, do you instinctively ask "why" until you hit bedrock? Can you build custom solutions from the ground up rather than reaching for a methodology playbook?

Intellectual honesty. Will you admit when you don't know something rather than bullshitting your way through it? Can you separate what you actually understand from what you've only heard about?

Practical business judgment. Do you have the common sense to know when a theoretically sound solution won't survive contact with reality? Can you tell the difference between "should work" and "will actually work"? Do you understand real business constraints versus textbook theory?

Analytical rigor. Can you handle complexity and ambiguity without needing a framework to hide behind? Can you process messy, contradictory information and find truth? Can you separate correlation from causation?

Results ownership. Do you take responsibility for actual business outcomes, not just project completion? When something doesn't work, do you iterate until it does, or do you blame circumstances and move on?

Evidence-based work. Can you reconstruct what actually happens from system logs, records, and data rather than accepting what people say happens? Do you trust hard evidence over opinions and assumptions?

We also don't make any demands on where you work from. Wherever in the world makes you the most content and productive, we're on board with it. You can work from any country (exceptions apply as per U.S. sanctions and national security interests).

We also don't have fixed office hours and you are free to arrange your schedule as you need to. We do have meetings with clients (almost all in the US) and you will need to coordinate with other people in our team. But timings can be flexible as long as you can make arrangements to accommodate clients' and other team members' working hours as needed. That being said, you should keep in mind that this role will require you to work full-time and put in a lot of hours. You have a lot of flexibility in choosing when to put the hours in, but they will need to be put in to achieve the needed results.

No Part-Timing Under Any Circumstances

Requirements For Skills and Experience within Levels

This job accepts candidates for two levels. Both levels require experience and expertise within the subject. There is no junior or entry level available for this job. Advanced and Senior Level

Starting pay: USD $110-150K/year. Exact offer will depend on your evaluated skill level. Further pay promotions available depending on actual performance once on the job.

This level is for highly experienced and highly skilled senior experts with extensive expertise across the fields of business process analysis, business process re-engineering, business process automation, business process optimization, and other business process improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive commercial experience of leading successful engagements involving business process analysis, re-engineering, automation, optimization, and other forms of business process improvement.
  2. Both breadth and intricate depth of knowledge of the theory and practical implementation of business process analysis, re-engineering, automation, optimization, and other improvement.
  3. This level is expected to expertly and independently conceptualize, execute, lead, manage, and oversee end-to-end business process analysis, re-engineering, automation, optimization, and improvement engagements for our clients.
  4. You will be held accountable for the overall results of entire client engagements. You will run client relationships independently from day one with limited senior oversight.
  5. It is expected that professionals at this level will be able to deliver results quickly and effectively to clients within the context of our organization.
  6. If you do not meet the above requirements at this time, you should not apply for this level, and instead apply for Mid-Level.
  7. Applicants for Advanced/Senior Level will be evaluated to a higher standard in the hiring process and failure to meet said higher standard will result in a denial of application with no possibility to reapply for the next 2 years for either level.

Mid-Level

Starting pay: USD $80-100K/year. Exact offer will depend on your evaluated skill level. Further pay promotions available depending on actual performance once on the job.

This level is for experienced and skilled professionals with intricate and thorough knowledge of the business process re-engineering subject, who can deliver business process optimization, automation, and improvement projects within the context of our team with limited supervision by a senior expert.

Requirements:

  1. Applicants for Mid-Level are expected to possess strong analytical abilities, solid knowledge of fundamentals of business processes, and ability to carry out detailed operational process investigations, diagnose business process problems, recommend business process solutions, model and simulate them, and work with technical implementation of technical solutions designed for them.
  2. You will execute key project phases with guidance and oversight from senior analysts. You will conduct investigations, reconstruct current processes, model and simulate improved processes, and support implementation. You will not be expected to run entire client engagements independently initially.
  3. Applicants for Mid-Level are expected to have real commercial experience in successfully performing key functions on projects involving business process automation, business process optimization, and business process improvement, successfully completing your part of the analysis and implementation parts of said projects.
  4. You should be detail-oriented, methodical, and capable of handling substantial analytical work with limited supervision once you understand the methodology and approach.
